Surface functionalization of bioactive glasses and hydroxyapatite with polyphenols from organic red grape pomace

چکیده

An extract of polyphenols was obtained from organic red grape pomace, chemically analyzed, and used for functionalization two bioactive glasses porous hydroxyapatite. Functionalization is effective on hydroxyapatite the glass with higher surface reactivity a different grafting mechanism. Grafting does not inhibit redox radical scavenging activity polyphenols. The grafted make continuous layer an almost complete coverage. Polyphenols are released kinetics according to mechanism maintain their activity. A homogeneous thin still firmly both substrates after 28 days soaking it maintains functionalized samples can be sterilized by gamma irradiation.
